FARAH CITY (SW) – At least eight passengers got killed in Farah province as their bus hit a roadside landmine on the Herat – Farah highway.
Spokesman for police in Farah, Muhibollah Mohib, told Salam Watandar that in this incident, at least seven people got martyred and 27 others got wounded. Women and children are among the victims of this incident, he added.
But, Mohammad Naser Mehri, spokesman of Farah’s governor, said that 8 people were killed and 40 others were wounded.
Herat hospital's spokesman, Mohammad Rafiq Sherzai, said that so far two women, two children and seven wounded men have been transferred to this hospital.
Local officials in Farah claim that the Taliban used this mine to target military vehicles in this area.
