KABUL (SW) – The Ministry of Public Works on Tuesday inked deals with private firms for road construction worth AFN 178 million.
Mehdi Rouhani, spokesman for the MoPW, said these projects would be executed in Jawzjan, Bamyan and Ghazni provinces. He said the funds for these projects would be provided by the World Bank via the MoPW’s rural development initiative.
The spokesman said practical work on these projects would commence in few days, and would be completed in 14 months. The officials hoped many people would benefit from these roads, and thousands of laborers would get jobs.
