KABUL (SW) – The Independent Election Commission announced initial results for theWolesi Jirga (lower house) elections from Kabul on Monday.
Based on the results, Ajmal Rehmani, Abdul Qayum Kherkhwa, Fida Mohammad Ulfat, Ahmad Javed Jaihoon, Ramzan Bashardost, Syed Mohammad Mohammadi, Khan Agha Rezaey, Amir Gul Shaheen, Ghulam Hussain Nasiri, Mula Mohammad Jan Ahmadi, Allah Gul Mujahed, Mir Amanullah Guzar, Khan Mohammad Wardak, Qazi Mir Afghan Safi, Ajmal Gulab, Ahmad Zia Azimi Shinozada, Obaidullah Kalimzay Wardak, Taufiq Wahdat, Hafizullah Jalili, Mohammad Farhad Sidiqi, Anwar Khan Oryakhail, Zargay Habibi, Habibur Rehman Sayaf, Abdul Samad Stanikzai, Fatema Nazari, Mursal Nabizada, Shenkai Karokhail, Rubia Jalali, Fauzia Nasiryar Guldaraey, Maryam Sama, Salema Nekbin, Zahra Naurozi and Nazifa Zaki are declared winners for the 33 seats.
The IEC officials said different glitches and pressures caused the delay in announcement of the results.
