KABUL (SW) – The Independent Election Commission announced here on Sunday that the recount for presidential polls at provincial level would begin on Monday.
A member of the IEC, Aurang Zeb, told a press conference in this connection that preparations for this drive are in place, and the corresponding officials would leave for province on Monday to determine the eventual vote count at provincial levels.
Meanwhile, Danish Nauandesh of the Stability and Partnership team has raised concerns. He said this cannot be accurate without the actual figures about the total voters.
However, the State Builder team’s Qadir Khan Hotkhail has said the recount at the provincial levels would help with the transparency in the whole exercise.
This comes as the German firm behind the biometric verification device, Dermalog, has shared with the IEC the final count of voters.
