MAZAR-E-SHARIF (SW) – Unknown gunmen have attacked railway track workers in Balkh province, security officials confirmed on Thursday.
The Balkh police spokesman, Adel Shah Adil, told Salam Watandar that a policeman was killed and a railway track worker from Uzbekistan was injured in the incident.
According to Adel, the incident took place at 7:00 am in the morning and one of the attackers was also injured. He added it was not clear which militant group carried out the attack.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
