SHEBERGHAN (SW) – A well-placed security source told Salam Watandar the Taliban insurgents overran Qosh Tapa district in Jawzjan province late on Monday.
According to the source, all of the security forces stationed in the district are either killed or taken as captive by the insurgents.
When contacted, Faredon Aniq, spokesman for the provincial governor, said telecom services are suspended in the district that was why situation remains vague.
The Taliban claimed to have overran Qosh Tapa district.
