MAZAR-I-SHARIF (SW) – Nizamuddin Qaisari, a former police commander of Qaisar district of Faryab province, has escaped a police operation in Mazar-i-Sharif, and has moved to Shebarghan.
Sayed Najibullah Hashemi, a senior member of the Junbish-e-Milli party, told Salam Watandar that Qaisari has moved to Sheberghan after he sought the help of First Vice President Abdul Rashed Dostum.
According to Hashemi, in a telephonic conversation that Nizamuddin Qaisari had with Abdul Rashed Dostum, he had called for his help, saying that "I made a mistake in trusting the rebels and fascists and now it is time to bend my shoulder and support my spiritual father.”
This senior member of the Junbish party said VP Dostum's response to the request has been positive.
Last night, security forces besieged Qaisari's home in Balkh and launched an operation to arrest him. But the operation was not successful.
The operation was launched over allegations of disturbance of public order in Balkh province. The police said the arrest warrant for Qaisari was issued by the judicial body.
Nizamuddin Qaisari is a resident of the Qaisar district of Faryab province. He had previously served as the representative of Abdul Rashed Dostum, the head of the Junbish party, in Faryab province.
