KHOST CITY (SW): Residents and civil society activists in Khost province claim a number of public servants are engaged in election campaign for different candidates in duty hours.
Habibullah and Sardar Wali, two such residents of the province informed Salam Watandar they have practically witnessed that the officials are not present in their offices in duty hours, and are instead busy in election campaign for different candidates.
They went on to say these public servants have been appointed by parliamentarians, and now they are paying back with election campaigns for them.
Meanwhile, Talib Mangal, spokesman for the provincial governor, has clarified there are no official complaints in this regard. He vowed the provincial administration would sternly monitor the public offices, and anyone engaged in such an activity during official hours would be held accountable.
