GHOR (SW) – A video obtained by Salam Watandar indicates a woman is lashed in public by a group of armed men in Ghor province.
In this video, a man can be seen reading out the ruling in this case, “This woman is now clean after the punishment, and no one has the right to gossip about her”.

Local officials in Ghor province informed this incident took place in the Kharasang area of the Shahrak district around a month ago.
Ziaul Haq Khosnood, police chief for Shahrak district, said the woman got married a year ago, and later got separated with the support of elders from her husband after domestic differences. He added the Taliban lashed the woman thirty times for ‘escaping from home’.
He added the woman is now safe in the Masjid Nigar area. The area where she was punished is under the clout of the Taliban.
