KABUL (SW) – A number of protesting Wolesi Jirga (lower house) candidates have vowed to boycott the forthcoming presidential polls.
Demanding establishment of a special tribunal to investigate alleged rigging in the WJ polls, these protesting candidates told a press conference that they do not accept the final results for the parliamentary polls.
They vowed to stage widespread protest demonstrations if their demands are not met in this connection.
Protest demonstrations against the WJ elections held last year continue in different parts of the country.
