KABUL (SW) – Hundreds of protesters on Wednesday closed down the Kabul – Logar highway in protest against the killing of seven civilians in an air strike.
The protesters claimed seven civilians in a family got killed in Logar’s Mohammad Agha district last night following air raid by the government forces. They demanded justice and actions against the perpetrators of the incident.
The Logar governor’s spokesman, Shamshad Dilawari, told Salam Watandar the air raid was conducted in Aabazak area of the district. He did not confirm civilian casualties in the raid.
Shahpur Ahmadzai, the provincial police chief, has said they had no prior information about the air raid. He added a fact-finding team has been sent to the area.
