SHEBERGHAN (SW): Pro-Daesh rebels abducted 15 civilian from Jawzjan’s Darzab district on Monday.

According to the reports, the militants first stopped 4 trucks containing food supplies, and then took away the drivers and vendors with them.

Local authorities in Qoshtapa district while confirming the incident explained the Daesh rebels stopped the trucks coming from Darzab district on Monday morning. Bai Murad, acting chief of Qoshtapa, told Salam Watandar the pro-Daesh insurgents abducted these civilians to push for their demands about supply of petroleum products to them in the Chaqma-Charan area of the district.

The militants have demanded that unless the district government allows supply of fuel to the Sar-Dara village, they will not release the hostages.

Rahmatullah Hashar, chief of Darzab district, said there was no news available to them about the well-being of the abducted civilians and their goods. The chief of Darzab had previously halted transportation of petroleum products to Sar-Dara village over security concerns.
