SHEBERGHAN (SW): Faheema Sadat, member of the Wolesi Jirga (lower house) from Jawzjan, has said that the pro-Daesh militants’ activities are a grim danger to the northern parts of the country.
She has said the militants are training children for suicide attacks. A number of residents of the province told Salam Watandar that the militants are not only training children for terrorist activities, but preaching and imposing so-called ‘Islamic Caliphate’ in the Darzab district. The locals said number of foreign terrorists, including women has been on the rise since past one month.
Toran Ismael, chief of police in the district, said in this regard that the militants have completed training of a batch of 140 children. He added most of these children were below the age of 14.
Mohammad Reza Ghafori, spokesman for the provincial governor, expressed similar concerns. He claimed soon a security operation would be launched in the restive areas.
In a previous report, Salam Watandar had reported that French, Uzbekistani and even Iraqi militants have been seen providing training in this district.
