JALALABAD (SW): Authorities in Nangarhar province have said the pro-Daesh militants have abducted several teachers from a madrasa (religious school) in Haska Maina district.
Saz Wali, chief of the district, has confirmed the incident. He said the Afghan National Security Forces (ANSF) tried to capture the militants, but they manage to flee with the abductees. According to the security officials, the motive behind the abduction is not known yet.
One of the residents in Haska Maina district told Salam Watandar on the conditions of anonymity 12 madrasa teachers were abducted while they were conducting an exam from the students.
Attaullah Khogyani, provincial governor’s spokesperson, has also confirmed the incident. He declined to share more details.
