KABUL (SW) – President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani said on Saturday the private sector would not be left abandoned for all sorts of intrusions.
He said this addressing a ceremony at the Arg (presidential palace) to mark the ‘Industry Week Exhibition’. The President said there is a mutual trust between the government and private sector. He lamented that sometimes the private sector is seen as a ‘milking cow’.
He said Afghans are managing domestic economy in a bid to help create jobs for qualified individuals.
Officials from the Ministry of Trade and Industries said on the occasion that the costs of trading licenses have been brought down from AFN 30,000 to AFN 100 in a bid to strengthen economy. It was said the average annual imports now stand at around $ 7 billion while as the exports stand at around $1 billion.
