According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA), in this 5th HAIP Conference, matters related to security, anti-terrorism and economic growth would be discussed.
Shakib Mustaghni, MoFA spokesman said in this regard though the conference would not discuss the peace talks but regional measures to curb terrorism would be pondered over.
Meanwhile, a number of Wolesi Jirga (lower house) members stressed that the President should vividly present the case of the country at the HAIP Conference. In Monday’s session, members noted that Pakistan has directly been involved in fueling terrorism in Afghanistan and that needed to be stopped.
Saleh Mohammad Saleh, a member of the house said in his remarks that this conference provides the Afghan President an opportunity to tell the world war in Afghanistan is a regional conflict.
Zaher Qadeer, Deputy Speaker of the house said on the occasion that President Ghani should not get lured by the false promises by Pakistan.
