Mutazawi added medical and other aid have reached Nuristan and other affected areas of the country.

Meanwhile, Hafiz Abdul Qayume, governor of Nuristan, has said 58 victims of the heavy snow and avalanches have been laid to rest today while many injured have been sent to Jalalabad for medical treatment.
