JALALABAD (SW): Leading a high-level government delegation, President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani on Sunday visited Nangarhar province to assess the security situation.
Addressing a gathering in this connection at the headquarters of the Afghan National Army (ANA)’s 201-Sailab Corps, the President said up to $ 6 million would be invested in the Afghan Air Force (AAF) in the coming four months to lifts it’s standard and reach.
President Ghani said the new U.S. strategy for Afghanistan and South Asia would see Washington’s additional support for the country.
It is expected the number of U.S. soldiers in Afghanistan would increase in the coming days in line with this strategy.
