KABUL (SW): President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani and his first deputy Gen. Abdul Rasheed Dostum have overcome their differences on Tuesday.

Talking to a group of journalists in Jawzjan province, Dostum said that the political dispute between him and the President is completely resolved now. Previously Dostum vowed to hold a mass rally against the President in Jawzjan. He told journalists that after a telephonic conversation with the President, their political differences have resolved.

Dostum had charged the President and his Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Abdullah Abdullah for promoting ethnic politics and favoring people of their choices. The outburst of the VP raised concerns in various quarters about the fate of the National Unity Government (NUG).

Also on Tuesday, Sibghatullah Mujadadi, a spiritual figure, told journalists in Kabul that he was confident about a positive end to this matter. “We assure you, based on the conversations I have had with President Ghani and Vice President Dostum in the past two days, I am hopeful that there are no differences that cannot be resovled, there were some verbal issues and theories that had worried both, God willing! It would be resolved soon”, he said.

Meanwhile, the Stability Protection Council, led by Abd Rab Abdul Rasul Sayaf, has also called upon the leaders of the NUG to overcome their differences with positive means, and refrain from causing uncertainties.
