KABUL (SW) – President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani has inked a directive dissolving the secretariat of the High Peace Council.
Sedeq Sedeqi, spokesman for the President, told a press conference here that the State Ministry of Peace Affairs would now supervise all corresponding matters. Earlier, he mistakenly announced that the HPC has been dissolved all together.
Afterwards, the Presidency issued a statement clarifying the matter.
It is worth noticing President Ghani formulated the State Ministry of Peace Affairs a while ago, and appointed his close aide Abdul Salam Rahimi as its head.
