KABUL (SW): President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani on Monday inaugurated a Turkish-made prefabricated construction company worth 11.4 million in the capital Kabul.
Speaking on the occasion, Ghani said this facility would ensure speedy construction of housing projects in the public sector on modern and world-class standards. He said speed is important, the Ministry of Education was faced with uncertainty due to ambiguous state of hundreds of development projects. Ghani said the primary aim of establishing this facility is to ensure children do not study under scorching Sun or rain.
Minister of Urban Development, Sayed Mansour Naderi, said this facility would bring construction cost down, and would lift standards. He said currently, low-quality construction is done in provinces costing up to $ 350 per cubic meter, but this facility would bring it down to $ 242 per cubic meter, and buildings would be completed in two months.
Turkey’s Vefa Group has completed this project worth $ 11.4 million.
