Police stations attacked by Taliban, Daesh in Kabul

KABUL (SW): The Ministry of Interior (MoI) confirmed on Monday two policemen got killed and three others got wounded in assaults on police stations in Kabul.

Wais Ahmad Barmak, minister for MoI, told a press conference here hours after assaults on the directorates of 13th and 10th police districts that two policemen got killed and three people got wounded in these attacks. He said a total of eight terrorist took part in these attacks.

He said armed clashes continued for at least an hour in the 13th PD, and out of the five attackers involved in assault on 10th PD, two got killed, and three hided in a nearby building.

Waheed Majroh, spokesman for the Ministry of Public Health, has confirmed one dead and six wounded people have been brought to the public hospitals.

Zabihullah Mujahed, spokesman for the Taliban, has claimed attack on the 10th PD as part of the al-Khandaq offensives. The National Directorate of Security (NDS) has blamed Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Tayaba for collaborating with the Haqqani Network for the attack.

Daesh has claimed the attack on 13th PD.
