GHAZNI CITY (SW): Civil society activists on Wednesday charged police in Ghazni province of beating and humiliating two young journalists.
According to the two media activists, the journalists were not only beaten, but also insulted as they were on their way to home.
Mohammad Arif Noori, provincial head of Afghanistan Journalist Union said that insulting and beating journalists are unfortunately not a new affair in Ghazni. “Such violence can cause impediment for journalistic activities.” added Arif Noori.
Abdul Karim Matin, provincial governor has condemned the incident. He told the journalists in a meeting that the matter would be fairly investigated.
