TALUQAAN (SW) – Locals in Takhar province claim planes from Tajikistan hit the Darqad district of the province this morning.
The locals informed the Tajik planes hit the Acha Guzar and Kohna Khana areas in the forest close to the border between the two countries. Jawad Hijri, spokesman for the governor, informed Salam Watandar a day earlier, armed clashes erupted between the drug peddlers and the border guards of Tajikistan that led to the killing of two guards. He added the air crafts responded with the raid this morning.
Khalil Aseer, spokesman for the police, has confirmed six Taliban rebels got killed and nine others got wounded in this raid.
There has been no response from the Taliban on this matter yet.
