PARIS (SW): Paris hosted the International Conference on combating terrorist financing today.
Wais Ahmad Barmak, the Interior Minister attended the conference on behalf of Afghanistan.
Ministers from more than 80 countries and representatives of 18 international organizations attended the “No money for terror” conference.
The fight against the financing of terrorism and support for international efforts to combat terrorism was at the center of this conference.
A joint Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was also signed between the members of the “No money for terror” conference as well.
French President, Emmanuel Macron called for international cooperation to deprive jihadist movements from transferring funds and means to finance terrorism. The two-day deliberations initiated by France ended this Thursday 26th April 2018, in Paris, France.
