PUL-I-ALAM (SW): A Pakistani military helicopter made an emergency landing in the restive Azara district of the eastern Logar province on Thursday.
According to the local officials, there were six men on board. Some reports say the chopper crashed in Afghanistan. Local and government officials in the province claim the helicopter, which crashed in the Spin Jomat area of Azra district, belongs to Pakistan.
The helicopter crashed in this area and all six survivors, who got injured, have been captured by the Taliban, said Salim Saleh, the governor spokesman for Logar.
He told Salam Watandar that a security team has been dispatched to the area to investigate the incident.
Hameedullah Hameed, the district chief said in this regard that the Taliban have taken the men away with them. He noted that the Afghan National Security Forces (ANSF) cannot enter the area for investigation as it is under the control of the Taliban.
