KHOST CITY (SW) – At least seven para-military troops of Pakistan and four members of Afghan militia force got killed following clashes along the disputed Durand Line.
Wakil Khan Mirzaey, member of the Khost provincial council, informed Salam Watandar Pakistani troops disguised as the Taliban attacked local militia in the Zazai Maidan district. He charged the Pakistan forces for also using mortar shells in this skirmish.
Abdul Baseer, spokesman for the provincial police headquarters, said seven Pakistani troops have been killed and three members of the local militia got martyred. He noted additional troops have been dispatched to the site of the clashes.
Similar deadly skirmish took place in the same area in April after which the Afghan authorities handed over to Pakistani a captured Pakistani border guard and the dead bodies of five Pakistani troops who had been killed during clashes.
