KABUL (SW): Pakistan’s prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi is expected to visit Kabul tomorrow (Friday) heading a high-level delegation, however, some political experts said that Pakistan is trying to expand its political ties, after the US has applied pressure on them, therefore, such trips will have no tangible results for Afghanistan.

However, the Presidential Palace (Arg) called the visit of the prime minister of Pakistan an important occasion for the opening of government to government talks.

Akbar Khan Folad, a political expert said that Pakistan is trying to launch a new game and such trips have been planned to reduce US pressure on Pakistan.

Younis Fakur, another political commentator said the Pakistani authorities are pushing for the discussion and dialogue on the one hand and training the terrorists on the other.

According to Fakur, now that Pakistan is under US pressure, they have been trying to expand their political ties because the weather is getting warmer and the war season is intensifying in Afghanistan, Pakistan needs more time.

However, Dawa Khan Menapal, deputy spokesperson for the Arg said that after the Kabul meeting, the Afghan government wanted to start a government to government dialogue with Pakistan.

According to Menapal, during the meeting with the Pakistani PM, the issues of cross-border shelling and other issues that have caused a conflict between the two countries will be discussed.

Pakistani Prime Minister, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi will visit Kabul tomorrow (Friday) while Pakistani fighter-jets violated Afghanistan’s territorial integrity by dropping 700 bombs on districts of Dangaam, Shelton, Nari, and Sarkanwi in Kunar province yesterday.
