QALAT (SW): More than one hundreds schools are closed in Zabul province due to ragging violence.

Mohammad Mosa Ludin, an official at the provincial directorate for education told Salam Watandar that the appalling state of affairs has led to the closure of all schools in four restive districts namely Khak-e-Afghan, Dai Chopan, Atghar and Shamalzo. He noted that out of the total 222 registered schools only 84 are functional.

Lund noted that as many as 48,000 students including 25,000 girls are enrolled in these schools in the province.
