KABUL (SW) – President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani has stressed outside meddling in the interior ministry should end.

He said this addressing the passing out parade of fresh police cadets at the Martyred Brig. Gen. Abdul Raziq National Police Academy here on Monday. President Ghani said no one has the right or authority to threaten the police force, and there is no place in law for illegally armed groups.

Ghani stressed the law also does not permit any security official to kill civilians.

Speaking on the occasion, Massoud Andarabi, interim minister for interior, said a revamp of some 1200 security installations took place recently to improve law and order in Kabul city. He added some 400 well-qualified individuals with Masters’ degrees would soon join the interior ministry.

The ceremony saw 450 fresh cadets complete their studies and training.
