KABUL (SW): Improving speed of the internet and its rapid penetration have given birth to a new trend of online shopping in Afghanistan.
Many of the online selling portals are quite active in promoting their products on the social media networks. Shaheer Mohseni is one such entrepreneur. He expressed optimism about the future of this trend, and the corresponding improvement in services and products for the citizens. Mohseni noted time saving is the key attraction for many online buyers who explore these avenues for their products and services of choice.
Najeebullah Nasiri, is another businessmen offering products in the digital arena. He, however, lamented that the government has not drafted exclusive legislations in this regard to safeguard the rights of the buyers and sellers in the Silicon Valley in Afghanistan.
Meanwhile, Sayamuddin Pasarly, spokesman for the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Industries (ACCI), said there is huge potential for further growth in this sector, and the government should facilitate investors. He mentioned that many countries in the world have acknowledged this sector, and have created laws to encourage and protect it.
