KABUL (SW): The Chief Executive Officer Abdullah Abdullah has blocked talks between his Jamiat-e-Islami party and the Presidential Palace (Arg) over the unseating of governor of Balkh Atta Mohammad Noor.
According to well-placed source, a delegation of JI has been trying to negotiate with the Arg a plan to allegedly isolate and defame the CEO. On the other hand, another well-placed source at the Arg has said there has been no dialogue between the Arg and JI over Noor’s issue so far.
Recently, relations between Arg and the JI party have been tense due to the dismissal of former Balkh governor Atta Mohammad Noor.
The former governor of Balkh has repeatedly talked about the negotiations between JI and the Arg. In recent days, a report has been published that the dialogue between Arg and JI has reached a deadlock.
