KABUL (SW) – Out of 19 samples taken from suspected coronavirus patients only one proved positive, the Ministry of Public Health said on Sunday.
Officials at the ministry said the relatively lower number of people visiting hospitals during Eid is the main reason for the decline in new coronavirus cases.
According to the MoPH, the number of coronavirus cases in the country has risen to 36,711 with the latest one. It said, a total of 25,509 people infected with corona have recovered and 1284 others have lost their lives so far.
This is despite the fact that the number of people infected with the coronavirus worldwide exceeds 18 million.
