NSA Atmar in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for talks

KABUL (SW): Qader Shah, spokesperson for the National Security Council, told Salam Watandar that Mohammad Hanif Atmar, the National Security Advisor, is in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia at the invitation of Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman.

The NSA will meet Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman and other Saudi officials to discuss the peace-building efforts in Afghanistan and the fight against narcotics, Qader Shah added.

The opportunities for Afghan businessmen and Afghan workers in Saudi Arabia will also be discussed in this trip.

A credible source in the National Security Council, who does not want to be named, also told Salam Watandar that a joint meeting is scheduled to take place in the United States of America with the presence of the US and Saudi officials to discuss the crisis in Afghanistan.
