Not enough work done in the Dari Persian language in Afghanistan

KABUL (SW) – President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani told an academic conference here on Thursday that not enough work in the Persian Dari language has been done in Afghanistan in comparison to Iran.

In his opening remarks at the ‘Afghanistan: Cradle for Dari Persian Language’, the President said Dari is language spoken by citizens of Afghanistan, and there should be no doubts about it. He added the Persian language, besides linking people, is the language of a civilization.

According to the President, Afghanistan has played a key role in the Dari Persian language domain, and the younger generation of the country must understand the roots of this language. He emphasized that archaeological research should be conducted on the languages ​​and historical identity of Afghanistan.

In the meantime, Abdul Ghafour Arzoo, a renowned author, said in order to build capacity for the civilization, it is necessary to use the language of the same family to preserve the Persian language.

At this session, President Ghani approved a suggestion to establish state medial named after the legendary Mawlani Jalaluddin Mohammad Balkhi.
