CHAGCHIRAN (SW): A 12-year-old girl forcefully married off three years ago in Ghor province has shared with Salam Watandar a tragic tale of physical and psychological torture that she faced at her in-laws.
Nestaran informed that she was forced to spend nights in the mountains and eat with dogs. She added only on Fridays would she have decent food by begging in the village. The minor is under treatment at a public hospital in Ghor, and her health condition is not good.
According to the doctors, when the patient was brought to the hospital she was badly beaten, even on private parts. She informed her in-laws tried many times to kill her. Torture marks are evident on her pale and weak body all over.
Sakhi Dad, a relative of the traumatized girl, informed she found Nestaran in miserable state. He informed, the girl was married off by her father, who is in Iran now, to a man named Eid Gul.
Shema, a doctor treating her, said the child is in miserable state. “On her body marks of physical abuse and burns are visible. She is traumatized by the pain she suffered due to torture aimed at her private parts”.
This is not the first incident of the sort. Previously, a girl named Rukhshana was stoned to death in Feroz Koh, another one named Aziz Gul was shot dead and Zahra was burned.
