KABUL (SW): President Mohammad Ashraf on Saturday urged neighboring countries not to exploit Afghan refugees for their political gains.
Addressing the High Peace Council (HPC) members, the President said whenever Afghanistan touches upon issues related to the neighboring countries they raise the matter of repatriation of the refugees. He added that Afghanistan is incomplete until the refugees return.
President Ghani stressed the issue of migration should be resolved fundamentally, and disrespect of the refugees is unacceptable. He noted the matter would also be discussed at the forthcoming Gulf Conference.
About peace process, he said the government wants to reach peaceful resolution at all levels with the rebel groups.
This comes as the government in Pakistan has decided to expel some two million Afghan refugees without extended their legal term of stay there.
