KABUL (SW) – The National Directorate of Security on Wednesday claimed to have busted a network of Daesh and Haqqani Network operatives in Kabul.
According to NDS, its special forces conducted two coordinated operations in Kabul to bust the Daesh network. It added the Daesh operatives were conducting terrorist activities in liasson with the Haqqani Network, an offshoot of the Taliban.
The NDS said five militants were killed and eight others taken into custody during the operation.
It said this joint network carried out the rocket attacks on presidential palace during the oath taking ceremony, attacked the Sikh's worshiping place in Kabul, attacked the death anniversary ceremony of Abdul Ali Mazari and attacked Bagram Airbase.
