KABUL (SW) – The Afghanistan Football Federation announced on Sunday the national team would take part in training camp in Turkey later this month.
In a statement, the AFF announced the Afghan side would depart for Turkey on 13 November. It added the eight-day camp would be held in Antalya. The camp is part of preparations for forthcoming encounter with Turkmenistan or Uzbekistan.
The sponsor for the national team, Alakozay Group of Companies, has arranged this tour that would see Afghanistan play against a couple of leading clubs in Turkey. The AFF has expressed optimism this camp in Turkey would provide a good opportunity for Afghanistan to prepare for important matches.
A 23-member team has been announced for this training camp. Among them include goalkeepers, Ovays Azizi and Hamidullah. In defense include Hassan Amin, Milad Intezar, and Mustafa Hadid, Kanishka Taher, Benjamin Nadjem, Haroon Amiri and Sharif Muhammad. In the center, Faysal Shayesteh, Norullah Amiri, Maziar Kouhyar, Omid Popalzay, Adam Najam, Mustafa Zazai, Zelfegar Nazary, Noor Hussain. And, among forwards include Abassin Alikhil, Omran Haydary, Farshad Noor, Jabar Sharza, Fareed Saadat and Zubayr Amiri.
Meanwhile, Tajikistan has postponed its scheduled game against Afghanistan from 19 November to March next year.
