KABUL (SW): Nai – Supporting Open Media organization in Afghanistan on Thursday warned media outlets against not paying salaries to the staff.
Mujeb Khilwatgar, chief executive officer of Nai, told a presser here the identities of the media outlets not paying salaries would be exposed. He charged eight per cent media outlets for being guilty in this regard.
Statistics provided by Nai suggest cases of persecution of journalists increased by nine per cent this year in comparison to the past year while cases of physical violence against journalists have increased by 36 per cent.
