Naderi along with four deputies resign

KABUL (SW) – Minister for Urban Development Affairs, Syed Sadat Mansur Naderi, and his five deputies have resigned from their posts citing personal reasons for it.

Mr. Naderi told a press conference here on Wednesday he has been ill for a while now, and needs proper treatment that requires time. The outgoing minister said President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani has approved his resignation. He added two among the resigning deputes are also ill, one is going abroad for higher education while the fourth one has reached the age of retirement.

Eng. Roshan Wolasmal has been named as interim-minister for the MoUDA while Syed Naseem Khaliq, Aziz Ahmad Gulistani and Mohammad Humayon Faiz have been introduced as new deputies.

Representing the outgoing deputies, Amruddin Salik, one of the deputies who resigned, said he has served the MoUDA for quite a while now, and it is the right time to leave space for the youth.

The interim-minister, Roshan Wolasmal, hailed the services of Mr. Naderi and his team, and vowed to continue their projects besides launching new ones.

Naderi serves as minister at the MoUDA for over three years, and launched many new housing projects besides reviving the housing corporation. In this time, some officials in this ministry were charged with corruption.
