KABUL (SW) – A number of youngsters have launched a street photo exhibition in Kabul to express their support and gratitude for the security forces.
According to the young people who decorated the sidewalks of Zarnagar Park with various photographs of the security forces, their aim is to show gratitude for the hard work by the security forces. The organizers of the exhibition said they want to demonstrate that the security forces are not alone in even the most remote areas.
Abdul Khaleq Mirzai and Wahid Shah Ahmadi, two of the organizers, said the security forces are the heroes of the people, and the photo exhibition is aimed at encouraging the security forces.
A number of Kabul residents have welcomed the exhibition, and said the security forces are striving to defend the people with little means and resources.
Elias, a Kabul citizen, said this was one of the best exhibitions he has ever seen. According to him, holding of such exhibitions will provide the security forces on the battlefield with a stamina and high spirit.
Another Kabul citizen, Khalid Stanikzai, said he always supports the security forces because they have shielded their lives to protect the people.
Mohammad Haron, a police officer, said when he crossed the road and noticed the images of the security forces, he felt relieved and happy. He said the support of the people lifts the morale of the forces against the rebels.
Last month, President Ashraf Ghani said in a video interview that about 28,529 security forces have lost their lives in the country since 2015. However, the number of security forces killed is likely to be more than what has been announced by the government.
