KABUL (SW): Mustafa Azadzoy, Afghan-German midfielder for the national squad has been selected to play for the top class Thai football club Nara United.
In a message on his facebook page, Mustafa announced that he has inked the contract to play for Nara United in Thailand’s second-tier domestic football club championship. The move has been welcomed by the Afghanistan Football Federation (AFF). Announcing Mustafa’s inclusion, the Nara United has welcomed the 23-year old Afghan.
11 weeks into the domestic championship, Nara United is top of the list in Thailand’s domestic championship with 21 points. Based in Germany, Mustafa would join his club in Thailand for six months in accordance with the contract. Pronouncing it as a ‘dream come true’ situation, Mustafa has thanked his family, friends and supporters.
He has also thanked the AFF for believing in his talent. Prior to this new contract, Mustafa was busy playing in Germany’s fourth-tier domestic league.
For the Afghan national squad, the midfielder has appeared in 17 international matches and scored two goals. He was a proud member of the national team that defeated India to lift the 2013 South Asia Football Cup.
