MAZAR-E-SHARIF (SW) – The multiple power utility networks in the country would be brought under one in a bid to bring down tariff and improve access, President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani announced on Thursday.
He said this addressing a gathering of local elders in Mazar-e-Sharif during his two-day trip to the Balkh province. The president said this move would need at least 18 months for implementation. Ghani said improving security in Balkh remains top priority of the government, and peace would be restored in the four restive district of the province soon.
He pronounced the surging insecurity in the northern parts of the country as part of evil plans of the enemies to challenge major development projects here. Ghani promised to improve security situation in four months’ time.
