KABUL (SW) – The Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Livestock on Monday inaugurated the ‘Sustainable Management of Land and Forest in collaboration with the Society’ project.
Muhammad Rafi Qazizada, the chairman of natural sources at MAIL, said on the occasion the project would cost $ 10.5 million that is aimed at preventing the damages of the climate change. He added the project would be implemented in Badghis, Ghazni, Bamyan, Paktia, and Kunar provinces for the next for 6 years.
According to the ministry officials, through this project 40 hectares of forest cover would be improved and another 200 hectares of land would be brought under cultivation via training programs for farmers.
