KABUL (SW): Baz Mohammad Mubariz and Ahmad Wali Hotak, two of the Afghan Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fighters, who have challenged each other a while ago, now in United Arab Emirates team up to go against their opponents tonight (Friday).
Tonight the two fighters in the UAE are said to be meeting their Ukrainian and Scottish opponents at the Berkut Absolute Championship in Dubai.
According to ACB, 13 matches will be held in Dubai tonight. In the third match, Ahmad Wali Hotak will be representing Afghanistan against his rival Shtifanoz of Ukraine, and in the sixth match tonight, Baz Mohammad Mubariz will fight Scottish MMA fighter Iain Feenan.
Baz Muhammad Mubariz has been practicing in Thailand for three months for this championship, and Ahmad Wali Hotak has been preparing himself for two months in Kabul.
Tonight’s first match is between Kadir Dalkiran (Turkey) – Shoaib Yousaf (UK), the second match is between Khasein Shaikhaev (Russia) – Diego Lopes (Brazil), the fourth match is between Tanner Boser (Canada) – DJ Lindermann (USA), the fifth match is between Maharbek Karginov (Russia) – Francisco Maciel (Brazil), and the seventh match is between Ramazan Kuramagomedov (Russia) – Georgi Valentinov (Bulgaria), with the other matches between Russia, Brazil, UK, Armenia, Poland, and Canada fighters to follow.
The matches will start at 6 pm Afghanistan time and will last until 11:30 pm. Darmal Khan Laho, the manager of matches for Afghan athletes, said both fighters have a great talent and suggested they have to use their talent instead of domestic competition against each other to fight against foreign fighters. "We expect positive attitude from the youth and athletes of our country to unite and to devote more time to sport", Laho said.
Ahmad Wali Hotak has fought 6 matches since 2013 with 5 wins, however, Baz Muhammad Mubariz have fought 13 matches since 2012 with 9 wins and 4 losses.
