PUL-I-KHUMRI (SW): At least six employees of the provincial mines and petroleum department in northern Baghlan province have reportedly been adducted.
Mahmud Haqmal, spokesperson for Baghlan governor, told Salam Watandar that unidentified gunmen have abducted the employees on Sunday evening. The spokesman has expressed possibility of the Hezb-e-Isalmi Party being involved in this abduction.
Hezb-e-Isalmi in Baghlan has not commented on it yet.
Meanwhile, the spokesperson for Baghlan governor has noted that efforts to free the abducted employees have begun.
Noor-ul-Deen Ziyai, the deputy director for provincial mines and petroleum department, is said to be among the abducted men. The officials have however, not confirmed it.
