TALUQAN (SW) – A woman in Takhar province has reportedly killed two of her sons following verbal quarrel with her husband.
Hamid Stanikzai, director intelligence at the police headquarters, said the incident took place in the Rustaq district’s Ganda village. He said the couple got engaged in a quarrel, and when the husband went out for the evening prayers, the wife locked home from inside and killed the two boys with a knife.
The intelligence director said the couple had heated argument over separating from the joint family of the husband. He said it seemed the husband was not willing to accept the wife’s demand of moving to a separate home.
The suspect has been taken into custody, and interrogations are underway, he added.
