KABUL (SW): The Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development (MoRRD) on Sunday inked contracts with local development councils of 12 provinces for 22 development projects.
Faredon Azand, spokesman for the MoRRD, said on the occasion these projects would cost an estimated AFN 225 million. He added these projects are related to building schools, mosques, boundary walls, pavements, canals, bridges and roads.
According to the MoRRD spokesman, these projects would be implemented in Daikundi, Faryab, Ghor, Jawzjan, Kabul, Kunduz, Laghman, Nangarahr, Nuristan, Kunar, Panjshir and Parwan provinces. It is hoped these projects would create job opportunities for up to 76,000 people in these provinces.
