Monitoring and evaluation of development projects

16/07/2017

KABUL (SW): The Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development (MoRRD) has initiated monitoring and evaluation of projects executed between 2002 and 2016 in eight provinces.

Naseer Ahmad Durrani, governor at the MoRRD, told a press conference here on Sunday that this project would cost up to AFN 33 million. The objectives of this drive is to assess the work done in the past 14 years, monitor and evaluate the quality of work, and streamline future projects. He lamented that there existed no plans or strategies to timely provide reports about development projects to the public, or even streamline all the development projects.

He added the monitoring and evaluation surveys would be conducted in Takhar, Samangan, Herat, Kandahar, Khost, Panjshir and a number of other provinces, and would take three months to complete.
